In The Beginning
Genesis 1:1-5
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water. God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light! God saw that the light was good, so God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” There was evening, and there was morning, marking the first day. (NET)
Think About It!
God was able to create light, because He is light. You create out of the skills and gifts you have, and so does God! There is no place God's light cannot reach. One day soon, even the darkest places will be filled with God's light.
Yet Job 24:13 says, “There are those who rebel against the light; they do not know its ways and they do not stay on its paths.” When we rebel against God, we rebel against the light. Stay in God's light. He loves you. By staying in the light, you will know the warmth of His love and He will light your path.
Do It!
Read the Bible every day. The Bible is God's light in words.
Stand On It!
God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.
