The Creation of Earth and Sea
Genesis 1:9-13
God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear.” It was so. God called the dry ground “land” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” God saw that it was good. God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.” It was so. The land produced vegetation − plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. God saw that it was good. There was evening, and there was morning, a third day. (NET)
Think About It!
God planted seeds on the earth to produce yummy fruit. Do you have a favorite fruit? God plants fruit seeds to feed you and keep your body healthy. God also plants heart seeds in you that produce spirit fruit. Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control....” Are you growing these fruits in your life with God’s help?
Talk to God in prayer, and read your bible. Stay close with others who love God. Abide in God. God will make your light shine. He will use you to bless others.
Do It!
Do something kind for someone today.
Like God, you are a planter of seeds!
Stand on It!
The field is the world and the good seed are the people of the kingdom. Matthew 13:38
